Hi there,
I'm Dr. Brent S., a doctor of physical therapy from Chapman University, previously an exercise biologist from UC Davis. I'm here to not only make your life a little bit easier, but also to help you understand difficult, yet essential topics. I have tutored anatomy, physiology, exercise physiology, kinesiology, and other courses at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate level.
Every previous student I have tutored in these fields has improved at least one full letter grade with weekend tutoring only. My job isn't just to teach you the material, but to give you future tools to improve comprehension and retention. To do this, I not only teach, lecture, and demonstrate, but I also provide practice tests, thought games, and critical thinking scenarios.
I love teaching with interactive lectures, multimodal learning strategies (reading, writing, listening, discussing, drawing, acting out), and directing my efforts toward your or your child's specific needs. I have experience in tutoring, teaching, and treating individuals based on the knowledge I tutor.
In addition, as a physical therapist, I'm qualified to assist in movement training, injury prevention, form re-education, strength/agility/speed/endurance training as your budding athlete requires.
I'd love to help you or your student/athlete progress their knowledge in an efficient, fun, and interactive way. Please contact me if you have any questions, interests, or concerns. Thanks!
