What is a SSG evaluation board? ›

Instead of the traditional “selection” boards, the Army is conducting an annual evaluation board process where SSG and above are evaluated based on their performance and potential in order to create an order of merit list (OML).

Soldiers previously seen by an evaluation board can track their OML status at the Army Career Tracker website at https://actnow.army.mil/.

Voting members will not know if you have certified your file or not. However, failing to view, correct, or certify the board file does not prevent board members from viewing its content. Additionally, certifying the board file does not prevent the official record from changing prior to the convene date.

To SSG primary zone: Sergeant (SGT) with minimum 70 months' time in service (TIS) and 16 month's time in grade (TIG).
